Crime rate on Santa Catalina Island

The crime rate is very  low on Santa Catalina Island. Every Friday, a judge comes to Santa Catalina Island to hear cases which are usually jay walking or other petty crime.

Grocery Stores on Santa Catalina Island

There are two main grocery stores on Avalon, Santa Catalina Island. One is Vons and the other is Vons Express. They are both Vons offering the same kind of food in two different locations two small blocks away from each other. As the name implies, Vons express is the smaller of the two. The prices of grocery products are not noticeably different on Santa Catalina Island from anywhere else in the US. There are also other convenient stores and local grocery stores dotted around the two blocks of the main shopping strip of Santa Catalina Island.
