Santa Catalina Island Tours (continued)

There is no need to pre-book the tours. It might even be better to go there and see what specials they have before you decide. Specials are not announced beforehand and they usually arise because of reasons such as another set of tours are cancelled so they make up for the lack of programs by giving discounts on other programs.

Where to find the tours

Both tour companies have representative offices on the Santa Catalina Island pier, so if you cannot find the tour location, walk along the pier and you will see both tour companies as well as the tourist information center run by the local Santa Catalina Island chamber of commerce.

Many tours are only in the Summer

If you are looking for a specific tour to go on, you might be disappointed at times. This is because many tours are on in the summer and if you have missed their season, then you will not be able to go on them. Boat rental for example are only in the summer. Fly fishing trips and Seal Rocks explorer trips are also only in the summer. You will find that you will not have so many choices in what tours to go on in the Winter.
