Catalina Island Beach Camping

Question: I need information about planning a trip to Catalina!?
ok this is the deal. My birthday is at the end of March ( spring break time) and i thought it would be a good idea for me and my friends to go to Catalina Island for maybe a 3 day weekend. Now, i haven’t been to Catalina literally in years and it was a class trip- we stayed on more of the “Woodsy” side of the island for a science camp. For my birthday (26th) i was wondering are there condos, beach front resorts or small houses u can rent for a weekend out there? Is there a sit or sites i can go to for further help and info? I think it will be nice to stay on the water in a nice room/ condo ( or near the water), go snorkeling and eat at some nice restaurantss. I want to plan and book now because everyones spring break isdiff rentt and idintt want to wait too late and everything is booked. ANY help isappreciate itd ASAP!

Yes, hotels, condos and houses are all for rent. You’ll have better luck getting a hotel on the water, the houses that are right there on the water are usually multi-million dollar private homes. Don’t rent in Hamilton Cove- it’s beautiful, but out of the way from Avalon the main town. The Hermosa Inn is the most cost effective, but can be pretty gross. The plus side of renting some homes is that a few come with use of a golf cart. March can be pretty cold, so come prepared to use a wetsuit while snorkeling (you can rent them there). Also, check out the different hotel/boat packages offered. I haven’t done a march trip since I was 16, (10 years ago) but went in mid April 2007. It’s a great time for good food, shopping, relaxing, catching up on some reading. It’s not the fun, swimming tanning summer kind of trip, but is a great get away.
Happy upcoming 26th!!!! Hope this helped
